How Gun Violence Affects Me and my community

I haven’t experienced Gun Violence in real life, but i personally care about this issues because more than 30.000 Americans die from gun violence each year and this is really sad topic because when this things happens the only responds is that according to 2nd amendment “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”thats really sad and really hateful because people that support gun sells they don’t know if they are the next one or one of your family members are, so its is a very important issue to address with the community since a lot of people die from from it, i feel like with more gun control laws we can stop this shooters from taking away someones life
Like a Child or adult, and Also Every day, 48 children and teens are shot in murders, assaults, suicides & suicide attempts, unintentional shootings, and police intervention.based on bradycampaign and such sad thing to know because this kids who die could of have been someone who changes the way humans live today in the earth. This is what i personally think about the issue of gun violence in my community and how it affects me today.

The Issue/Problem of Gun Violence

The problem with gun violence is that too many people are dying from guns. For example, In 2015, Chicago Police found a gun every 74 minutes off the streets. This evidence proves that we should prevent guns from being allowed to the public because it is an issue that creates gun violence which kills mostly innocent people. Should America have stricter gun laws? I believe that we do need stricter gun laws because the way how the country is running we do need it. I remember reading an article about how australia was like our when many people got killed by mass shootings. Now Australia has strict gun laws and the citizens of australia don’t even remember when was the last mass shooting that they had. I believe that even though not all gun violence could be solved but we could still try to make this country safer by at least trying.

How Gun Violence Affects ME and My community

Gun violence has affected me and my community by preventing kids from playing outside and keeping many families inside. Gun violence has gotten so out of hand that parents are afraid to let their kids or  family members leave the house. I live in the projects so a lot of the time at night I would hear two or more people arguing for a couple of minutes and then I would hear a loud BANG! Sometimes one bang, sometimes four. Then all I would hear is silence. And I would be too scared to look outside the window. But now a days I don’t even flinch when I hear that loud bang because I’m so used to hearing it. People shouldn’t have to be afraid to go outside their houses or look outside their windows. We should feel safe both inside and outside the comforts of out home. Kids should be able to go outside as much as they like. And teens should be able to walk on the street at night and not be scared of getting shot for being on the wrong side of the block. And most importantly we shouldn’t be so used to the violence that we sit back and not do anything about it. I know you’re probably thinking ” I’m just one person, what can I do?”, and the answer to that question is you can write a letter, get a group of friends and protest for more gun control, or reach out to schools. I know I want to do something about gun violence, do you?
